Stirrrrrrrrred up!

I got a call from Andy, the Chicken Whisperer, to come on the radio show yesterday and talk about what issues are going on here in Virginia Beach regarding the backyard flock. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to further the stand on backyard chickens in Virginia Beach. Thank you Andy! I am grateful for his presence around the country as a pillar of knowledge and strength in what is right with backyard hens. If you haven’t listened to his radio show yet…please do. He brings an everyday image to the simple logic of why keeping hens is a good idea for the family, the garden, and the environment. Perhaps there will be a chicken rally at a local feed store or something along those lines. He is likable and presents the facts in such a way that people just get it. I am grateful for all… Full Story

Yeah…..spent the day in the law library in the basement of the courthouse. Did you know that asking to file appeal with the circuit court of Virginia Beach involves so much more than filling out a form, signing your name, and paying the fee? Apparently, this requires the drafting of a “legal document” and requires an attorney or someone with the time and energy to understand the process. Did you know that the clerks in circuit court are not allowed to answer questions about the procedure as this is considered “legal advice”? (I half expected Ashton Kutcher to… Full Story
